Idea Evaluation Process
First - we filter
Once we receive your innovation, we run through some filters. We are primarily looking for ideas that fit the needs posted on the Kraft Foods Collaboration Kitchen site, but ideas for new products, packaging or even new business ideas will be evaluated. Please don't submit recipes and new flavor ideas for existing products. Recipes should go to the Kraft Foods Recipes site and we can pretty much guarantee you we've thought of just about every line extension there is.
Next - we evaluate
If you have submitted an innovation against one of our briefs, a small team will look at your submission to determine if your submission is something new and different from what we already know. After all, we do have plenty of food scientists and engineers working on these challenges daily. If we determine we are not interested in pursuing your idea, we will let you know in 6 to 8 weeks, although sometimes it may take a little longer. We are not obligated to reveal the details of our evaluation.
Finally - we collaborate
If we have determined that we have an interest in pursuing your submission, we will open up a discussion to determine the best way to move forward. We may need more information to make a final decision. If this is confidential information, we may be ready to enter a written confidentiality agreement. If this is a breakthrough idea or a really new innovation, we may be ready to start talking about a development or licensing agreement.
